Looks good. But then so did Episode 7 trailer and I have to admit that as much as I wanted to love it I just quite couldn't.

Still, looking forward to this.

The whole idea of a Canary Wharf tube is science fiction to me.

I can't see it mentioned below .....
In the Rogue One trailer, where they are running in a dark grey building .... It's Canary Wharf tube station.

Would be better called Pogue One and tells the story of Lukes dissolute younger brother Shane

It must be hard to fit in story lines when you know the ultimate ending.

Disney bought it for the cash cow. How many loyal fans will visit the cinema 3-4 times to watch any shit labelled star wars...

The old style trooper armour, those weird Rebel helmets, The old X-Wings, Mon Mothma...whats not to LOVE...

I did not enjoy TFA. I didn't get any sense of it even being in a galaxy far, far away etc etc Some of the sets looked like a picnic area in the New Forest. This looks a bit better but that's not saying a lot. I think "tearing the arse out of it" sums it up. Maybe that should be the tagline

I think they're tearing the arse out of it now.

And it's getting confusing for an old cunt like me to keep up with the storylines.

I liked Jumpers!

Watch the last star wars on a flight. The bird in it was worse than kiera knightley, with a worse grin.

Let's be honest, every star wars is shit.

This shit STILL going?

The only redeeming feature of Star Wars is that it provided a lucrative comfortable retirement for the great Sir Alec Guinness.
Love the fact that he only agreed to sign some stuff for a kid if he promised to stop watching the movies again & again & got a life.

I can't say he is good actor but I have not been able to see him make a mess of something good, is all I am saying. Classic example of that for me is Keanu Reeves in Branaugh's Much Ado.

"If you have to work almost exclusively in front of a green screen and are not allowed to improvise your lines at all (reportedly) a lot of actors would have trouble."

Agreed.

"But never being in a decent movie is a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy if your first big roles (in Hollywood) were the Star Wars prequels. Would you put him your decent movie after that?"

If he was a talent, SOMEONE worth their salt would have taken a chance on him since.

This is why he's only done shit like JUMPER and
AWAKE.

There is a reason why Harrison Ford was the only one to really have a big career after the originals. He could act.

There was also Kasdan who co-wrote the originals and episode VII as well as things like the Big Chill. (But not the prequels)

And Lucas did not direct Empire or Jedi.

The Prequels were always going to be a struggle because everyone already knew the ending.

Re: Star Wars: Rogue One
So I'm no Star Wars nerd, but I do love a bit of movie trivia

From what I can work out, the original 3 films were good in part because Lucas' missus at the time was a screenwriter. They'd split by the time he did the prequels, hence his own appalling script.

Also, much as Hayden christiansens performances which are as wooden as they come, check out honest trailers by screen junkie on you tube - when they do the trailers for the original 3 it actually shows how bad some of hamills acting was to the extent that the older anakin in the prequels looks like he's doing an impression of him
